Galapagos Conservation in Ecuador
The team of conservationists on the main island of the Galapagos Archipelago are working hard to maintain the local ecosystem and bio diversity. To control and eradicate the invasive species, which threaten the local species of the island is the main challenge.
Reforestation and the promotion of sustainable agriculture are other challenges for the island.
You do not require any specific skills or qualifications to join the Galapagos conservation program in Ecuador as a part of your volunteering opportunity for university students. You will be working from Monday to Friday and sometimes a half day on Saturday.
The participants of the volunteering program will be taken to the reserve to learn about the biodiversity, ecology and natural history.
