Cambodia is a country with a deep and rich history and fascinating culture. Its people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and greatly enjoy introducing foreign travelers and volunteers to their beautiful home.

Sadly, Cambodia has gone through tough times in the past half-century, with war and genocide leaving the country with rampant poverty and lacking educational facilities for its youth. Despite improved conditions in recent years, schools, especially those serving poor and underprivileged kids, are woefully under resourced and struggle to provide adequate English education to its students.

Volunteers are thus desperately needed to fill this gap and help teach kids English, which is a skill that has become incredibly important as the tourist industry in Cambodia has grown. Knowing English can be the difference between a life of poverty and one of success and happiness. When you volunteer in an English-teaching program in Cambodia you can help provide these crucial skills and help ensure a better life for poor children.

If you have a passion for kids, the English language and making the world a better place, then reach out to us here at IFRE immediately to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
