Education is the fundamental requirement for anybody to establish a good future. But, due to the unavailability of good schools and experienced teachers, many people in Nepal, including monks aren’t getting a proper education. By participating in the international volunteering project for seniors, you will get to teach the monks different subjects (mostly English) and help them create a better future.

Other than teaching, you can also immerse in the Buddhist culture. You don’t need to have any specific qualifications  for this project. However, volunteers willing to participate are required to be disciplined as the monks are respected figures who follow exemplary and strict life rules.

Beyond working with the children, volunteers will also assist with various other work, like cleaning and laundry. There aren’t any specific qualifications required to participate in this project. However, we recommend you to have basic to intermediate knowledge of Spanish to acquire a rewarding experience.

Teaching English to Monks in Sri Lanka

Thousands of youngsters in Uganda are becoming homeless and orphaned every year due to poverty and the unfortunate catastrophe of HIV/AIDS. Even the government of Uganda have not been able to help citizens to overcome the debilitating circumstances, therefore, being left to live on their own. However, many local organizations are running the orphanages to help those in need. By becoming a senior volunteer program abroad for the international Orphanage project in Uganda, you can help the children live a healthy life by creating a brighter future for them.

While volunteering for the orphanage program in Uganda, you will get to work with the children for 3 hours every day. You can teach them any subject, however English is preferred the most. Thailand is a country with about 30,000 Buddhist temples; the majority of which offer educational opportunities for  local children who cannot afford  private education.
