Where can I use internet? Is there a place where I can use phone to make a call to my family and friend?
There are internet café’s available in close proximity to the project site.

Which airport do I need to fly?
There is only one international airport in Nepal which is Tribhuvan International Airport

Where do I go from the airport?
We will take you to the hotel (accommodation) from the airport where you will take rest before beginning the project another day

Do I need a visa? If yes, what kind of visa can I apply?
Yes, you of course need a visa, but you can get tourist visa at the airport upon arrivalYou can get 15, 30 and 90 days visa costing $25, $40 and $100 respectivelyAs you have two weeks program, you can apply for 15 days visaIf you want to stay longer than 15 days, it is better to apply for 30 days visaYou need two passport size pictures and cash in handPlease write TOURIST in the purpose of visit section

Will be there any orientation program?
There will be an orientation program organized by local staffYou will be informed about the country, people, program and its activities and the safety

Where will I be staying upon arrival and during the project?
You will stay at the hotel upon arrival and will be staying either in the hostel or with the host family during the project work

What kinds of meals are served?
You will be served Nepali meals each dayNepali people eat rice, lentil, soup and vegetable every day for lunch and dinnerYou will be served a cup of tea with some bread and eggs in the morning as a breakfastYou also will have a break served with tea and biscuit in the afternoon

What should I do if my flight is delayed? Where should I contact if I get lost? Is there an emergency number?
You will be provided contact details of the person who comes to pick up you up at the airportIn case if your flight is delayed or you could not meet our staff at the airport, you can call in our emergency numbers and we will arrive at the airport in 30 minutesWe also provide you an address where to go if you could not find us at the airport

If I arrive early, where can I stay?
If you are arriving more than one day prior to your voluntary program, we suggest you to stay in local hotelWe can organize this for you

Can I volunteer with a friend(s) or a partner?
We accepts friends and couples who wish to volunteer together and we can ensure that you are placed in the same accommodation and project as a friend or partner

Can children under the age of 18 volunteer with you?
If a person is under the age of 18, it is not possible for them to volunteer abroad alone but if they are travelling together with adult friends or family member, it is possible to organize

Which vaccinations will I require?
It is better to consult a travel doctor from your country before you arrive in NepalNormally, injections against meningitis, tetanus, hepatitis B, typhoid, and cholera are recommendedVaccination against rabies is also suggested

How far is the project from the accommodation? How do I commute daily?
Most of our project works are close to the accommodation in walking distanceIf require, we will use local transportation to go to the project which would be 20-25 minutes' drive one way

Where can I use internet? Is there a place where I can use phone to make a call to my family and friend?
Internet and phone calls are available close to the project siteYou can go to internet café available close to the project and use internet and phone calls

You can bring following items together with you:
- Camera
- Mobile phone (you can use mobile phone after changing sim card)
- Sleeping bag
- Mosquito repellents
- Insect repellents
- Sun-block
- Map of Nepal
- Toiletries
- First aid kit
- Flash light
- Electricity adopter/converter
- Sun glasses
- Footwear (for work and travel)
- Towel
